Finest quality right from the start!

Apples

For our apple pies and strudels, the apples are freshly harvested and stored in cold storage before being washed, peeled and chopped in our own apple peeling department. These fresh apple pieces go straight into the cake batter and then into the oven.

Cream

The milk for our cream comes from local farms. Fresh cream is delivered daily from the dairies, carefully tested in our kitchens and then immediately processed for our cream cakes.

Flour

We only source flour from controlled and integrated cultivation and make a point of using the most suitable flour for each of our products.

For many of our products the motto is: But with cream, please! Every litre of cream that we whip and process fresh is of the highest quality in terms of consistency and taste - with 80,000 litres of cream a day, that's an impressive achievement. How do we achieve this? This has been the creamy secret of Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese for more than 50 years.

In-house production down to the last detail:

From sponge or shortcrust pastry to fruit preparations - we prepare everything ourselves in our confectionery.

Hand Finished

You need skilled hands to bake. It's no different at home in the kitchen than it is here, because we can't do without the manual skills of our employees. We still make shortcrust pastry and sponge bases by hand, smooth out the cream and the cherries are also placed individually by hand.

Safely to the supermarket

Our frozen baked goods are stored for a maximum of 14 days in our modern, fully automated high-bay warehouse at minus 25 degrees Celsius. Our subsidiary Spedition Overnight Tiefkühlservice delivers the products directly to retailers in special deep-freeze trucks. This means that we have complete control of the entire cold chain right up to the retailer's deep-freeze warehouses.

Frozen for freshness

Deep-freezing: The guarantee of freshness - without preservatives.

Immediately after baking and decorating, we put our products into a natural deep-freeze.

In ultra-modern spiral freezers we cool our baked goods to arctic temperatures in the shortest possible time.

At extremely low temperatures of up to minus 44 degrees Celsius, the outer layer of our products is deep-frozen within seconds to seal in moisture and flavour. “Shock freezing” ensures the taste, vitamins and minerals are retained. As a result, our cakes and  baked goods taste just as fresh as if they had just been baked - without any added preservatives.
